Musing of the Day
March 27, 2012
| At the grocery store today, the lady at the cash register greeted me with the brightest smile ever. It cheered me up and reminded me that I for one should smile at strangers more often. |

I’m really happy that nowadays in this crazy world, a simple smile has a real power .
I am always amazed at how poorly some people treat others, especially when you want something from them. I’ve always found that, especially when you are paying someone to provide a service to you (i.e. a waiter/waitress, clerk, etc…) that a smile and a friendly attitude get you even more than you bargained for. Not only that, but the service provider feels better about their day and about the job they are doing. A smile costs nothing and gains you much, a poor attitude loses you more than you think!!
The Value of a Smile (By Frank Irving Fletcher)
It costs nothing, but creates much
It enriches those who receive without impoverishing those who give.
